Confirmation 2019  Saturday, June 1st

Congratulations to Amber Bianchi,

Mia Boscia,

Elizabeth Cowart,

and Lauren and Mia Scavitto.

The retreat took place in the serene

atmosphere of the rustic, 180-acre,

Episcopal Conference Center and

Summer  Camp in rural Pascoag, RI.

With Rev.Andrea Castner Wyatt's guidance, the program consisted of discussion time alternating with free time, beginning with Friday dinner, and continuing with overnight accommodations, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Saturday afternoon, ending at 4 p.m.

The theme of the gathering was "God Restores My Soul," with reflections on hearing again familiar passages of Scripture. Participants were given the assignment to compose and share their thoughts and prayers on how their souls are "restored." The retreat concluded with Holy Eucharist, with participants sharing in distributing the bread and wine.

Living the Way of Love:

Practices for a Jesus-Centered Life

The Congregational Development Commission sponsored a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. February 16, 2019 at St. Mary's, Portsmouth, to kick off a two-year focus on the Way of Love.  Bishop Knisely and seven Rhode Island Episcopalians (clergy and lay) spoke about how they live in each of the seven Way of Love practices. Small-group discussions brainstormed on ways to bring these practices to participants' life and community.

Annual Meeting

Parishioners met Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019 after  the 9 am service, for St. David's Annual Meeting.  A special thanks to Sue Hurn, Fred Malaby, Anne Winch, Andy White and Joe Hutnak. Your hard work and dedication to St. David's while serving on our vestry will always be remembered by a grateful parish.
